Tori and Dean–So relatable

If back in the good ole days of high school you had told me one day I would be saying “I totally relate to Tori Spelling!” I would NEVER have believed it but I have to be honest…”I totally relate to Tori Spelling” I LOVE the show Tori and Dean Homesweet Hollywood. Sure it helps that I have two children, a boy not far from the age of her little boy and then a girl very close in age to her little girl, but it’s the relationship issues and the mommy issues that I think many moms can relate to.

Tori seems like she just wants to be a fun and loving wife and mother that can do it all and *** news flash***– we can’t do it ALL at least not all at once but we all try somehow and we always think we can!

I loved this weeks episode because it dealt with some of the relationship issues that Tori and Dean were dealing with and also dealt with Liam’s 3rd Birthday party. It ’s just fun to watch her stress over the many many details of his birthday party and know that she’s enjoying it because she loves planning parties (much like me) but more importantly this party is for her son! Does it get better?

At one point in the episode she and Dean were dealing with their differences in parenting and discipline. I COMPLETELY knew how she felt when she said she feels like she needs to protect her poor little babies sometimes when Dean is disciplining them. It’s not that she doesn’t feel they need the lessons and such but when you’re watching your little babies get in trouble how do you not run right to their rescue!

She has such and emotional honesty about her that makes me really connect and enjoy watching her whole family! I literally look forward to new episodes every week! Next week they take them to the zoo-can’t wait to see how it goes!

Reality TV– My guilty pleasure (that’s fine in moderation)

Ok– I will admit it– my guilty pleasure is reality tv. We’re not talking all the awful reality game shows that have been done over and over and over again (although I will admit to watching a few episodes of some of them)– my true pleasure are the shows that follow real families or celebrity families. I can’t help it, I love them! My husband is not so much a fan so I find myself sneaking the shows in while folding laundry or cleaning during naptime for my kids. What show’s? Oh there are so many–luckily many of them only come on for 1/2 the season or at off season times so I don’t feel like reality tv is taking over my life but instead a guilty pleasure I get to enjoy in moderation!

My favorites right now:

“Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood” might be among my top shows right now. There is something about their show that is so real and honest and relatable as a mom. Crazy right!?

“Guiliana and Bill”– something about that show has sucked me right in! They are a newly married couple and trying to have a baby –it’s fun to follow something that is so real life.

“Kendra” — yes the former playmate of the Girls Next Door fame..she is now married and with a baby (probably helps that her husband is now an Indianapolis Colt player! Go COLTS!!– and lots of the episodes recently were done here in Indy..I love seeing my hometown on TV!)

I cannot wait for Flipping Out to come back on Bravo! My husband even enjoys that one with me! Oh the drama and chaos!

I would love to hear from you on what shows you enjoy and why…I can always make room for a new show in my lineup, especially with the ease of DVR!

Hello world! This site is still under construction but I can’t wait to get it up and running and share all of my mommy stories with you.

I am a stay at home mom to two wonderful kids under the age of 3. This page will be dedicated to both sides of mommyhood– the daytime craziness and the nighttime craziness- finding time for yourself and as well as you and your signifigant other!

Finally– Who can resist a good reality TV show or two!?! Not me!! I will be sure to keep you to date on all my favorite shows!
